This CD is made from the Grandfathers of Viking Metal. The strength of Bathory are the heavy guitars and the very rough and smoky voice of the singer Quorthon. The Content of the songs mainly are about nordic mythology, ancient gods, fights, death and the afterlife. There exist some low tempo and high tempo tracks on the album, so its relatively balanced. The Album creates an Atmosphere that lets you think you are onboard of a dragonship to sail south and set sails to plunder. Its simply great if u like this kind of style.
